Meet Mary
I found yoga amidst a tumultuous time in my life while living and working in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2014, I traveled to India to learn more and deepen my understanding of the ancient practices. After, I spent years traversing yoga studios around the world. I explored Bikram, Baptiste, Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Ashtanga. Ultimately, I always came back to vinyasa for the flow, rhythm, and breath. However, after a few pregnancies and global pandemic, I was knocked off my mat. To re-ground, I completed my yoga teacher training with Veda Yoga (Los Angeles) in Maharashtra, India in December 2024. I am excited to share my love for this practice.

In addition to being a certified yoga teacher, I am also a mom to two rambunctious children, a partner to the love of my life, and a social scientist with expertise in gender based violence and public policy. I have more than fifteen years of experience working with international NGOs and the UN. When I'm not writing or doing yoga, I can be found cuddling my animals (ones with and without hair), running, and watching old Taylor Swift videos on TikTok.
